Partial Dentures
You don’t have to be without teeth!
Are you missing any teeth? Want your wonderful smile back? Then look no further! At Clarendons, we’re always committed to putting smiles on faces, and with partial dentures, we mean it literally!
Partial dentures are required when you have some teeth missing and you wish to restore a full set. The material is an acrylic plastic that strongly resembles regular teeth, so you’ll have a natural, healthy looking smile once again!
The benefits
Life without teeth can be difficult as it affects many aspects of our lives. Below, we’ve outlined just a fraction of the many reasons, why it’s imperative that we have a full set of teeth:
Ability to chew food – think of the difficulties we’d face if we couldn’t use our teeth, to break down the foods we eat!
Pronouncing words correctly – our teeth are essential when it comes to saying words in the right way, and with partial dentures you’ll be able to do so once again.
Appearance – not only does it look strange when we smile with some teeth missing, but also, our facial expressions are affected as well.
Confidence – it goes without saying that once we’ve put in place your dentures, and your wonderful smile is restored, your confidence will be through the roof!
How does it work?
Upon meeting our skilled dentists, impressions of your mouth will be taken in order for us to create a perfect match for your gums and mouth.
The idea is that the denture will clip onto some of the natural teeth via metal clasps.
It may take some time, but soon your gums / bones will become accustomed to the partial denture and you’ll feel as good as new!
FAQ’s
Will my partial denture be the same colour as my natural teeth?
We work hard to ensure that the shade of the partial denture matches that of your natural teeth. This way, you’ll have a natural and healthy looking smile.
How long does it take to get used to partial dentures?
Initially, it may feel awkward for the first few weeks. Eventually however, your mouth and gums will become accustomed to it and you’ll feel as though it’s completely normal. It’s important during the initial adjustment phase that you don’t try to push the denture in place, as it may break.
